268093 - Leveraging Analytics in Healthcare Improving Adolescent Depression Screening

Session Speakers
Session Description

Rady Children's Hospital has been down a long road in its journey to enable and embrace enterprise analytics. Rady will share highlights of this journey and feature a clinical use case in behavioral and mental health. Rady is currently witnessing a dramatic increase in patients with mental health problems. In 2015 a multidisciplinary committee focused on standardizing screening, assessment and shared history, partnered with Quality management to improve depression and suicide risk screening. Decision Support was embedded to guide clinicians in identifying patients at risk and also to streamline connections to mental health resources. An executive behavioral health dashboard was created to inform planning and strategy. In this session, Rady will share how these tools and reports have transformed care for these vulnerable patients.
