In this session, you will learn: What Set Analysis is How Set Analysis is used The Set Analysis Expression Our new Set Expression Builder You'll see how the expression leverages data already loaded into Qlik with demonstrations that work in both QilkView and Qlik Sense.

262984 - Embedding Advanced Analytics In Every Corner of Your Company (Changing the world one dashboard at a time) What would change if your company made every decision from advanced analytics? How effective would you be? How much money would you save or earn? Embedding analytics across your company involves changing from mere business intelligence/KPIs to more process driven analytics that can magnify the impact of your data driven solutions. The key is not to keep hiring more data scientists, but through democratization to empower existing business professionals to build their own solutions. Now at Ford nearly half of our workforce uses a Qlik dashboard. The magic is in how it is implemented - not how advanced the analytic might be. This session will showcase the Ford democratization strategy and techniques that are yielding extraordinary economic benefits!

262989 - Secrets of the Qlik Architect

In the past, to become a Qlik developer, one needed to know Scripting, Data Modelling, Set Analysis and SQL etc. However, with the launch of Qlik Sense, a Qlik developer’s role has changed considerably. With Qlik Sense offered as a self-service platform, it is essential for Qlik developers to expand their skills beyond data modelling. Qlik Sense has many APIs to extend, embed and expand. It is a rapidly evolving product and keeping up with the rapid growth of new technologies is not an easy job. Many Qlik developers lack foundational architecture skills, and traditional software architects do not understand the Qlik ecosystem and capabilities. Software architecture introduced a lot of jargons and metrics, which might be overwhelming for developers which could lead to a skill gap. Having enterprise and solution architecture skills is the foundational building blocks of a successful Qlik Sense installation & implementation. This session will teach you how to think like an architect and will explain the different types of architects. The session will also introduce architecture jargons and it will highlight the importance of agile architecture and the roles, expectations, and “ilities” a Qlik architect. Finally, this session will cover different topics of enterprise architecture such disaster recovery, mitigating SPOF, building resilience and finally security landscape.

264792 - Concierge BI - Transforming Executive Analytics BI solutions are becoming more powerful and more complex. Data collection, search algorithms, and reporting tools are becoming more capable. As analysts, we strive for the right balance between too much and too little information on the page.
Concierge BI provides optimized, streamlined analytics in three categories: headlines, alerts, and marketplace.

Headlines are high-level indicators to summarize enterprise performance and key metrics. They are presented on tightly controlled, easily referenced solutions. Supporting data and additional indicators are accessed via drill-down controls.

Alerts are configured on additional indicators and are only presented when they meet preconfigured conditions. Alerts can be delivered via e-mail or text. They link to focused dashboards that are generated only when needed or requested by the user.

The BI Marketplace is implemented as a catalog of predefined charts and metrics. Users can select a number of items to be included on a custom dashboard. Dashboards can be saved. This marketplace replaces the function of the commonly implemented "Ad Hoc" capabilities in today’s BI solutions.

Concierge BI provides high-level, easily referenced analytics for executives while providing simplified access to additional information to support understanding and decision making.

268193 - Your Tax Virtual Assistant

Do you want to build dashboards that allow tax managers to analyze large volumes of data? Do you want to create dashboards that ensure your company takes the right VAT decisions on a global level? Do you want to be part of the next generation of tax insight dashboards? Attend our interactive session on the wonderful world of VAT.

While we started with a VAT Radar to visualize corporate data for multinationals, we now provide the same corporations powerful KPIs with a single press of a button.
To cope with rapid growth, we have also built an automated dashboard generator, which generates dashboards from a template while using an API to inject parameters into the source code.

268194 - How to promote a Data Literacy Program in the Enterprise

We haven't seen many enterprise level data literacy programs out there since the concept is relatively new, but it's *crucial* to understand that effective Data Literacy is not only about competency and skills development. There is a prerequisite to creating an effective data literacy program. A complete program operationalizes analytics by enabling technology and business units. The program should focus on governance through education, providing the right data and tools to the right people, social learning for business, and adoption and rollout strategies. There are several components to a successful Enterprise Data Literacy Program, which we have termed the 5Cs of Data Literacy:
* Culture* Communication* Collaboration* Creativity* Competency
This 5C model helps compartmentalize the various components you need to build a successful program.

This session includes:
- Overview of the Enterprise Data Literacy Program
- Introduction to 5Cs of Data Literacy
- How to implement a Data Literacy program in the enterprise
- Examples of Data Literacy activities at CSL Behring

In this session we will discuss what it means to not just provide access to data but to radically transform our data programs with democratization because everything else, data literacy, data quality and data governance relies on it.

268203 - Building Data Literacy from the Ground Up in Financial Services IAS has undertaken a significant journey of pursuing a data-driven culture. In an industry that has been historically data-rich but information-poor, IAS wanted to drive more informed decision-making, increase operational efficiency, improve customer retention and take better advantage of untapped market opportunities. In order to accomplish these goals, IAS selected Qlik as its BI platform partner and began its journey of creating a data-driven culture.
Within the first year, the insights gained from Qlik Sense led to increased expectations for the company and its employees. In turn, this has opened the company’s eyes to further data opportunities, including customer-facing apps and using Qlik's Associative Data Model with many external datasets. Now, as the company enters its second year with Qlik, expectations and projects are evolving to machine learning and artificial intelligence. Growing data literacy within the company has been an integral part of making this aggressive project plan a feasible one. Join this session, to hear more about IAS' story with Qlik.
